Claire’s Story: From Burnout to Strength at The Lab Liverpool

Claire’s Story: From Burnout to Strength at The Lab Liverpool

Posted by Joseph Neill on

After a few months away from the gym, Claire was struggling to find motivation. She wasn’t looking for perfection, just a way to enjoy training again and get back into a routine that made her feel better, inside and out.

Rebuilding Motivation

“I struggled to get motivated to get back in the gym after a few months away. My first goal was to get back training again and actually enjoy it, to not see it as a chore.”

Claire knew that once she started showing up consistently, other things would follow, including her relationship with food, her mindset, and how she felt day-to-day.

“Exercise always drives me to improve my diet. It makes me feel better both mentally and physically.”

Training as a Mindset Shift

Since joining, the change has been noticeable in every way, not just physically.

“I feel much better both physically and mentally. My confidence outside the gym has increased because I feel better in myself.”

“It’s not just about how I look, although that helps, it’s what training does for my mindset that’s had the biggest impact.”

“Physically, I look and feel stronger than ever. My body shape has changed for the better.”

Why SGPT Worked for Claire

Claire began training through Small Group Personal Training at The Lab, which gave her structure, feedback, and coaching without the pressure of doing it alone.

“Chelsea is brilliant. Whether you're just starting out or have more experience, every session is tailored to your strengths and needs.”

“There’s not a day where I think, ‘I don’t want to go.’ I look forward to my sessions, and I always leave feeling great about myself.”

“The group sessions are perfect for me. They’re focused on coaching and technique, and they push me to what I’m actually capable of. Without a coach, I’d lose focus and motivation.”

Her Advice to Others

“I’d recommend The Lab to anyone.”

You don’t need to be perfect to get started, just willing to take that first step. Claire’s story is proof that sometimes the biggest wins come from simply showing up again and finding the right environment.
